Wordpress File Gallery Basics
Wordpress File Gallery is a Plugin that allows you to post sets of images called a "Gallery" into a page or post. Its ideal for Wordpress because it doesnt take alot of setup and its easy to add a gallery to any section of your site. This guide is going to show you the basics of how to add photos into an existing gallery.
Please be sure that you have resized the image to the right dimensions and file size for the web otherwise you will run into display or upload problems. The maximum dimension is 800x600 and the max file size is 1 megabyte.
1. First, naviate to the page or section of your site that contains your gallery of photos.
2. Click on Edit to edit the page.
Move your mouse over the gallery objecet until the image icon comes up. click on the image icon.

A Window will pop up showing a list of images that is included in this gallery set. you can click the show link to the right of each image and add a description. When a visitor clicks on the image on your website, it will open the image up full size and display the descsription you enter for each image. If you want to add a new image to this gallery you can Either upload it from your computer, or if it is already on your site visit the "Media Libary" link. Its more likley that you want to add a new image from your computer right now so go ahead and click on "From Computer" at the top left.
I dialog box will appear, asking you to choose a photo from your computer. browse to the image you watn to upload and click Open.
Add a Title and Description of the image itself. Also add a descriptive name for the image in the Alternate Text box so that people see something if they have images turned off. After you are done, scroll to the bottom and click save changes.
After the save is complete it will take you back to the image gallery, but the new photo you uploaded will show up at the top of the list. Scroll to the bottom and click
Click Preview to look at the changes, or Click Submit to save your changes to the gallery.
Thats, it now you can visit your gallery page and see what it looks like.
